Climate Change

Climate change and the effects associated with it, present a significant challenge to everyone. Climate change is predicted to increase sea levels and flooding, while coastal erosion is now a reality on a large scale and ocean acidification is a major threat to the marine environment.
Climate change is one of the biggest risks facing the communities, physical infrastructure, biodiversity and social fabric which makes County Clare a unique place to live. Clare County Council has produced a Climate Change Adaption Strategy 2019-2024 which creates as roadmap of goals and objectives that the County Council will undertake to adapt to the effects of climate change and safeguard our way of life.
