Education

It is important to generate greater awareness, respect, interest and appreciation of our heritage among our school children, by encouraging both teachers and pupils to engage with their local heritage in a hands on, interactive and meaningful way. The Heritage Council have co-ordinated the Heritage in Schools Scheme which facilitates visits to primary schools by a range of expert’s on Ireland’s natural, cultural and built heritage, many of whom are based in County Clare.
