In map records, the well is indicated as on the Cappanakilla Road as it turns off to Soheen town and in the corner of a large grazing field. The field appears to have been improved or upgraded in recent years in the general area of the well. At the time of the research visit no trace of the well could be found. A large area of foliage deeper in the field was also checked without success.

Toberlaghteen is the first of two wells lying to the south of Kilnamona's 15th century church. The well is now lost in a pile of briar bushes. An old photo shows that the well is rounded, about a metre deep and the same in diameter, with a dry-stone wall...
Tobernamanaulin, Tobar na mBan Álainn, The Well of the Fair Women, Magowna
The most intriguing part of this well is its name. The well site is indicated as inside the hedge on the Magowna West road. The well is at the edge of a grazing field in a now very overgrown hollow. The site is tucked in behind a copse of trees at the edge of a grazing field. It seems to form part of a small stream here.
